Longido - The Ultimate Maasai Experience...
In Longido, where more than 20 years ago one of our founders volunteered as an English teacher for Maasai guides, we offer an authentic immersion into Maasai culture. Visit the traditional Maasai boma, stay overnight in the midst of the Maasai community, and discover the sacred Maasai cave for 'Orpul'. For adventurers, Mt. Longido offers a day climb with breathtaking views. Stay overnight at the top in a small tent and wake up to the magical sunrise.
From Longido, we make day trips to the Enduimet Community Wildlife area, where wild elephants and other animals live in their natural habitat. For those seeking a deeper connection with nature, we offer an 8-hour hike in the Longido Mountain Forest Reserve, followed by an overnight stay in a bush fly camp. A day trip to the mysterious Lake Natron with its flamingos, swimmable waterfalls, and the active volcano Oldonyo Lengai completes this journey.
